Peelhurst Estate

Cape Bouvard is excited to announce its plans to develop the next stage of Peelhurst Estate – a new residential housing community in Golden Bay.

Just 10 minutes’ drive from Mandurah and less than an hour from Perth’s CBD, Peelhurst Estate will be a well located, residential housing development in harmony with natural bushland and open green spaces, hosting a new nature trail and playground facilities.

Local flora and fauna will help shape the design and development of the estate which will be close to beautiful coastal beaches, the freeway, and the future METRONET Karnup train station.

The thriving community of Golden Bay hosts a range of convenient amenities including shops, schools, and medical facilities.

Cape Bouvard, an established Australian property development company operating since 1986, is renowned in delivering high quality projects working in synergy with the natural surrounds

Our Vision

Our vision is to develop Peelhurst Estate in close partnership with the local community and accommodate the anticipated population growth in the region by providing new housing options alongside a rehabilitated conservation area.

The plan is for illustration purposes only and is subject to change during the approvals process.

Project Updates

Structure Plan Advertising Underway!

We are pleased to share an important milestone for the Peelhurst Estate, Golden Bay project. The WA Planning Commission is now advertising the proposed Sawley Close Structure Plan.

This Structure Plan sets out a clear framework for creating a high-quality residential community in Golden Bay. It provides a blueprint for a sustainable, well-connected neighbourhood that respects the area’s natural features while delivering urban convenience.

The Structure Plan will guide future subdivision and housing development, while ensuring most of the Structure Plan area is retained as regional open space, balancing growth with the protection and rehabilitation of local environmental values.

The public comment period is now open until 12 December 2025. We encourage you to review the Structure Plan and make a submission here:

Should you wish to make a submission in support of the proposal you may wish to consider the following options which can be cut and pasted at the submission page linked above.

Option 1

I endorse the proposed Golden Bay Structure Plan as it effectively integrates new housing development while safeguarding the topography and views of the local dune system, while ensuring the preservation of regional open space and the character of the area.

I am supportive of the proposed Golden Bay Structure Plan, which not only facilitates new housing development but also ensures the protection of important environmental values, such as native vegetation and wetlands, and maintains the local character.

  • I endorse the proposed Golden Bay Structure Plan, acknowledging the extensive community engagement undertaken by Cape Bouvard to ensure the framework presents a balanced approach to development and environmental preservation.
